It’s Some Ploni commenting on Shlomo, commenting on R’ Nachman. Wow, there’s insight! look!

talks about more down to earth stuff, because if he didn’t he
wouldn’t have to be Jewish. So he’s talking about halacha and

“OK boys, whatever you suggest.”
“Ain’t seen you for a month or more, Fred. How’s the sweet young
wife.”

Well, you see (R.) Shlomo learned a bit the USA slang of the
1940’s.
Damnation is essentially a Roman Catholic notion, as far as I
know, and they do take it quite seriously. To them it is
blasphemy to utter such a phrase. But in the secular USA of the
1940s and 1950s it was used quite casually, and I suppose even
considered a bit chic. Like smoking cigarettes — Bogart and all
that.

Bogart the cynical Knight Errant, not ‘bogart’ the verb.”
