If anyone has any information…

April 29, 2007

As to just who in the hell this rabbi is, I’d greatly appreciate it:

It would be a horrible, lamentable chaval al ha’YouTube if this guy’s identity were to remain secret forever.

While the context of his statement is clear — a scathing rant against anti-Semitic members of the black leadership (whether said “leader status” is real or imagined) — his comparisons are so offensive as to render his entire speech invalid on that basis alone. And a simple view of any one of the multiple YouTube pages which feature this video shows the effects of this video — its ignorance so appalling it’s even being chalked up to conspiracy theory — a festering chillul Hashem (ch”v) in potentiality, and a horrible anti-Semitism-inducing faux pas at best.

Obviously anti-Semitic language is offensive and hateful. But one does not do anyone any favors by stooping to the level of the anti-Semite.

Please help me find out who this is so he can at least answer to one person for this snippet of speech.

Y-LOVE with yet another crazy attempt to promote unity and to decrease racism and anti-Semitism

he has a site, which I didn’t really have the patience to go through and see if this was on there.

Could this be Rabbi Mordechai Yitzchok Friedman. Shlita, President of the American Board of Rabbis who has a VERY Kahanist weblog at http://home.earthlink.net/~judaism/‘ ?

I hope and pray it’s not. And if it is, shame on all of us.

isn’t it a bit of a double standard. black leaders can say outrageous things and nobody pays attention because they’re just niggers. right wing neo-nazis can say horrible things because they’re white trash. but god forbid some whacko jew say something offensive because then the whole world will be right in exterminating us.

    alph,

yes, i thing there SHOULD be a double standard — at least among ourselves. WE should not be like THEM. Besides, this rabbi’s attack on black leaders is FAR more racist, FAR more vicious than any of their supposed attacks on Jews. Calling New York “Haime Town” is hardly as egregeous as being called an “ape.” at least to my ears.

In other words, I think we should prove the Neo-Nazi Jew-haters absolutely correct: We ARE “nigger-loving” multi-culturalists bent on “mongrelizing” the world.

Like Hebrew National Hot Dogs, we should be held to a higher standard.

and, to be fair, blacks and hicks should take leaders in their communities to task more seriously than any “outsider” should worry about. For their own sakes, you see.

also in fairness, i see no reason why jewish leaders shouldn’t OBJECT to anti-semitic, racist language from black leaders or any others — but “objecting” to something and sinking to the level of the something to which you’re objecting are two different things.

Again, like Hebrew National Hot Dogs, we should hold ourselves to a higher standard.

Do you think this is something that an issue should be made out of? or do you think that this guy is not actually racist and that this is barking up the wrong tree?

Rav Ga’on said that going up against this guy on a live debate would be:
    a) biting off more than I could chew, taking on this guy is effectively more than I can do myself;
    b) running the risk of making myself to look like an idiot in that I will have justified this video with a response.

The rav also said in response to this video, “[A person] can keep all the mitzvot of the Torah, but there’s no kedusha…where is the kedusha (in this rabbi’s actions)?”

SO perhaps it won’t be this rav. But the issue of racism in the Jewish community MUST be addressed.

Either you didn’t read what I wrote, or (for reasons I can only speculate about) you didn’t understand it. Please read it again. This time with your eyes open.

Who is on the America Board of Rabbis anyway? It doesn’t see like they represent a substantial segment of Jewry. They should not be allowed to use a name like that. They are giving Americans, boards and Rabbis all a bad name…

American, Board, and Rabbis are all dirty words anyway in most of the world. Why not put ‘em all together.

Maybe we can debate the guy! it can be a thing like that Hunchback who debated the nations in the time of Alexander! If he wins, whatever, we’re a bunch of degenerates anyway! and if we win, it’s G-d Torah that won!

Y-love, challenge him to a rhyme fight~ Whoever wins gets the hearts and minds of the next generation.

I, for my part, challenge th silly goose to a dance off. Who ever wins, gets to keep his pants on.

so, what’s the deal? Is it authentic, or not?

I notice that he keeps referring to “their view.”

Whose view is he talking about? and does he share it?
